Now that you’ve decided to hire a dj to provide music and entertainment during your wedding and reception, it’s time for you to choose who to hire.

Here are some questions you can ask potential dj wedding:

1. Ask whether the DJ have done weddings at your reception venue. It helps that they know the place already, and the dj wedding will also be more equipped to deal with potential problems that might arise. Knowing the venue is certainly a nod to their favor, but it shouldn’t be the main determinant on whether you will hire them or not.

2. Who will do the actual spinning at your wedding? If you intend to hire a company, they probably have several dj weddings at their employ. Know who among their staff is going to be at your wedding. This way, you can already specify your requirements or arrange the repertoire of songs you want played at your wedding.

3. What problems has the wedding dj experienced in the past and how did they solve them? This is a classic interview question, but one which is very important. You would want your wedding dj to be resilient so that he/she is able to respond to problems immediately. Weddings should run smoothly and it would help a lot that you have one less problem to mind.

Wedding djs costs lesser than bands and this is probably the reason most people choose them instead. But it is still up to you and your wedding planner to coordinate so that your wedding and reception will be most enjoyable for your guests.
