A recent survey conducted by an independent website outline the best wedding photographers in the world for 2007. The survey was supposed to run annually but unfortunately, the results for 2008 are not yet out.
In the past, even the best wedding photographers did not get respect from other professionals and even from their customers, despite their wonderful masterpieces. This is the reason why the site started the survey. It also aimed to give recognition to the wedding photographers who created wonderful memories for many couples around the world. Here’s the list of the 5 best wedding photographers around the globe:
1. Dennis Reggie has been taking wedding photographs for 25 years. He advocated a style called wedding photojournalism which broke away from the usual posed pictures. He covered the wedding of Arnold Schwarzenegger to Maria Shiver and of JFK Jr to Carolyn Basette.
2. Jeff Ascough is the first photographer in UK to use photojournalism in a wedding. He caught the world’s attention when his work was featured on the 2004 issue of the Washington Post.
3. Joe Buissink worked for Jessica Simpson, Barry Bonds and Jennifer Lopez.
4. Bambi Cantrell knows the top gown and shoe designers and is known as the “photographer who can make the bride feel most beautiful” on her special day. She is also know to shoot weddings like a fashion photographer.
5. Alisha and Brook Todd are husband and wife and are best known for their work on a segment at the Oprah Winfrey Show called “Fantasy Dreams Come True”.
